Lilly Pilly Gully Nature Walk

Wilsons Promontory National Park is a wonderland of diverse scenery and a highly popular tourist destination at the south-eastern tip of Australia, with fantastic walking tracks, native trees, plants, fungi, clear rivers, abundant wildlife, magnificent views and unusual features. It's also a wonderful place to see wildlife in their natural environment, go for bush walks, inspect the flora, go bird watching, relax on the beaches and take photographs - at any time of year.

The Lilly Pilly Gully walk will take you past a variety of vegetation including eucalypt forests, coastal heathland and temperate fern gullies. If you had time to do only one walk at Wilsons Promontory, this one is quite special and well worth taking the time to explore the complete circuit.

How To Get There - The Lilly Pilly Gully Car Park can be found on the left of the road, just before you reach the Tidal River Camping Ground.

From the Car Park itself, you have the choice of several walks, including an easy walk along Tidal Overlook, to the Tidal River Camping Ground, a direct walk along the 2.6 kilometer track each way to Lilly Pilly Gully, (retracing your steps once you arrive at the beautifully constructed boardwalk through the rainforest vegetation) or take the hike to Mount Bishop which is a further 2.2 kilometers each way.

Postcards, Gifts and Souvenirs - You can find a range of items for sale at the shop at Tidal River camping ground. For a new, exciting and unique range, check out the Scene In South Gippsland Website.

Facilities - There is one self composting toilet, conveniently located right near the entrance of the car park and the shops at Tidal River Camping Ground are only an easy 1 kilometer and very scenic walk away.
